Everest Base Camp challenge.
Here at Teethinline Orthodontics we are all super proud of our very own Mark Tobin.
Some of our patients may be wondering what’s happening in October as he nearly has the entire month off, Well that’s because in less than two weeks he will be travelling to Nepal to trek to Everest Base Camp!
The challenge itself will be long and arduous, it will involve 12 days trekking at high altitude and a vast distance of 5545m.
But Marks view is that “compared to the daily challenges faced by the people of Nepal where I will be visiting it will be minor” – I’m not sure we agree with you Mark, we think it’s amazing!
In 2015 Nepal was struck by two devastating earthquakes. Many villages were completely flattened. His team of 7 are helping to rebuild a village known as Thangpalkot1.
Can you believe that it only costs £1600 to rebuild one family’s home! Every penny that is raised will go directly to rebuilding houses (no middle men).
We all know Mark loves to challenge himself and over the past seven years he has raised a staggering amount – Almost £10,000 for so many good causes he has done this by participating in multiple Marathons and IronMan triathlons.
He would love to personally raise enough money to rebuild 2 homes and with your help we have all the confidence he will achieve this!
