Our highly experienced team is headed by Mark Tobin, a General Dental Council registered Specialist in orthodontics. Mark first qualified as a dentist in 1991, and after six years working in general dentistry commenced specialist training to become an orthodontist. Since then he has gained an impressive list of qualifications from the UK and abroad, including a Masters (Leeds), a fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in orthodontics (Ireland) as well as Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in orthodontics. Mark is well established having worked in Newport Pagnell for many years before setting up the practice in Milton Keynes. He remains at the forefront of orthodontics having treated over 5000 patients with excellent results.
We have a strong team of dedicated orthodontic specialists at Teeth-in-Line. As we specialise in a particular field of dentistry, we hone our focus on the development and refinement of our orthodontic services. Mr. Chand qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2013 and subsequently undertook further hospital-based posts, as a Senior House Officer, in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery across the Midlands. He also worked with special needs patients during a community post which he found very rewarding. After obtaining joint faculty membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, his specialist orthodontic training was completed at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital and UCL Eastman Dental Institute. Mr. Chand was awarded his Masters in Clinical Dentistry in 2018 with his research winning 1st place at international level, as awarded by the European Orthodontic Society. Mr. Chand was awarded his specialist orthodontic qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2019. Throughout his career, Mr. Chand has remained committed to undertaking quality improvement exercises. He has presented both internationally and nationally and won prizes for his work. He also values contributing to dental literature and has a list of peer-reviewed publications. Mr. Chand maintains his membership with the British and European Orthodontic Societies as well as regional networks. He enjoys going to conferences, meetings, and courses to further his skills and knowledge as well as socialising with colleagues. Away from work, he enjoys anything related to wellbeing and personal development, as well as spending time with friends and family.
Dr Patel qualified from Guys Dental Hospital in 1997. She completed her specialist training in orthodontics in 2007 and has been practicing orthodontics for over 10 years in specialist practices. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (England).
Prior to specialising in orthodontics she worked in the community dental service, hospitals, and general dental practice where she gained a wide range of experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, paediatric, and restorative dentistry.
Pauline graduated from Cork University in 1994. She has 25 years’ experience in general dentistry. Over the years, Pauline has developed a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. Pauline will always take time to talk at length with her clients about their goals and expectations and reassure those who are anxious and nervous about procedures.
Abigail joined the team at Teeth-in-line in 2008 having already enjoyed over 10 years working in dentistry. During her career with Teeth-in-line she has worked as a Dental Nurse and Treatment Coordinator. She completed training as an Orthodontic Therapist in 2011 gaining a qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons England. Abigail works to a prescription provided by our Orthodontic Specialists.
Vicky qualified as a dental nurse at the Royal London hospital in 2014. She achieved post qualification certificates in Radiology, Impression Taking and Orthodontic nursing in 2016 and received an outstanding merit for her Orthodontic Nursing studies. Vicky went on to qualify as an Orthodontic Therapist with the Royal college of surgeons (EDIN) in 2018 and under the guidance and supervision of Dr Tobin at the practice. Vicky works to a prescription provided by our Orthodontic specialists and loves all aspects of her work.
Odellia began working as an orthodontic nurse in 2000. She then studied at the University of Birmingham and gained a BSc in Dental Hygiene and Therapy in 2009. Having worked for several years as a Dental Hygienist, Odellia’s first love for orthodontics spurred her to gain a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy from the Royal College of Surgeons ( Edinburgh) in 2013. Odellia thinks of teeth as irresistible and delights in working as an Orthodontic Therapist and a Dental Hygienist.
Raquel joined the team at Teeth-in-line in 2020 having already worked in dentistry for over 24 years, she graduated in Dentistry in 1997 in Brazil. Raquel became a qualified Dental Nurse in 2015 in the UK by NEBDN and graduated in Orthodontic Therapy in 2019 by Warwick University. She speaks English and Portuguese.

Our Clinical Team are committed to continuous professional development and have achieved or are studying towards qualification as RDN (Registered Dental Nurse) and/or ODN (Orthodontic Dental Nurse). Our qualified nurses are registered with the General Dental Council and we are all BDA Good Practice Scheme members, a nationally recognised assurance of best practice standards dental/orthodontic care.
